CHELSEA AGREE £52M DEAL TO SIGN MAXENCE LACROIX FROM CRYSTAL PALACE LONDON, England.

The two clubs agreed on a cash-only package, with no players included in the transfer after defender Axel Disasi reportedly declined a move to Crystal Palace. Lacroix is now expected to complete the remaining formalities before being unveiled as a Chelsea player.
The 26-year-old centre-back joins Stamford Bridge after an outstanding 2025/26 Premier League campaign in which he established himself as one of the league's most consistent defenders.
Lacroix made 3,087 league minutes, scoring one goal and providing two assists while maintaining an average FotMob rating of 7.04. Defensively, he recorded 60 tackles, won 204 duels, and made 252 clearances.His performances saw him become the only Premier League player during the 2025/26 season to register 50 or more tackles, 200 or more duels won, and 250 or more clearances, underlining his consistency and defensive dominance.

Chelsea view Lacroix as a key addition to strengthen the heart of their defence as the club prepares for another Premier League and European campaign. The Frenchman is expected to join his new teammates once the transfer is officially completed.
