COURT RULES ON EIGHT-YEAR OGEMBO LAND DISPUTE AS FAMILY VOWS TO APPEAL Ogembo.
After eight years of legal battles, the Ogembo Law Courts have ruled that the disputed ancestral land belonging to the late Samuel Mose will remain under the custody of a court-appointed administrator pending the lawful administration of the estate.

The dispute arose following the death of the late Samuel Mose, who had two wives. The disagreement centered on the deceased's ancestral portion of land, locally known as "emonga."
The first wife's argued that the deceased's land should have been divided equally between the two houses in line with their understanding of the family's inheritance arrangement.
However, in its ruling, the court ordered that the disputed land remain under the custody of the court-appointed administrator responsible for managing the estate until the succession process is handled in accordance with the law.
Family members who had challenged the arrangement expressed dissatisfaction with the judgment, saying they believe justice has not been served.
Speaking outside the court, the aggrieved parties announced that they will file an appeal, seeking to have the decision overturned by the Court of Appeal.
The case, which has been before the Ogembo Law Courts for eight years, attracted interest from members of the local community due to the prolonged legal battle over family land ownership and inheritance.
