SHABANA FC ABANDONS TANZANIA PRE-SEASON CAMP OVER SUBSTANDARD CONDITIONS Kisii, Aug. 5.

Shabana FC has abruptly pulled out of its planned pre-season programme in Tanzania after club officials found the facilities and conditions fell short of the standards required for proper preparation and player welfare.

The Gusii-based side travelled to Tanzania on Tuesday for the scheduled camp. Upon arrival, however, officials conducted an assessment and determined the environment was unsuitable for the players and technical staff.

“After careful assessment and consideration, the club made the decision to withdraw from the planned pre-season activities in Tanzania and return home,” the club said in a statement released on Wednesday.

All players and members of the technical bench have since returned safely to Kenya. Shabana will now continue its pre-season preparations at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho training ground ahead of the new campaign.

The club did not detail the specific shortcomings that forced the withdrawal but stressed that protecting the team’s welfare and ensuring quality preparations remained its top priority.

Shabana thanked its supporters, partners and well-wishers for their understanding as the side shifts focus to local preparations for the upcoming season.
