KENYA MET WARNS OF RAINFALL IN NAIROBI, MOMBASA, KISUMU AND OTHER AREAS
The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall in parts of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and several other counties between September 22 and 28, 2026, alongside varying temperatures across the country.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall in several parts of the country in its seven-day weather outlook covering September 22 to 28, 2026.
According to the forecast, rainfall is expected in parts of Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu, alongside several other counties.
In Nairobi, residents can expect periods of rainfall, including afternoon showers in some areas. The capital is also expected to experience varying cloud cover during the forecast period.
In Mombasa and other parts of the Coast, the forecast indicates the possibility of showers at different times, with temperatures expected to remain relatively high.
Kisumu and parts of the Lake Victoria basin are also among the areas expected to receive rainfall, with afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible in some locations.
Other counties mentioned in the forecast include Kisii, Kakamega, Nakuru, Kericho, Nyamira, Siaya, Bungoma, Busia, Migori, Nyeri and Murang’a, among others.
The weather department also warned of temperatures exceeding 30°C in some parts of the Coast and northern Kenya. Meanwhile, some highland areas are expected to experience cooler night temperatures, with readings potentially falling below 10°C.
The forecast highlights the continued variability of weather conditions across the country, with rainfall patterns differing from one region to another.
Residents are therefore advised to follow updates from the Kenya Meteorological Department, particularly when planning travel, outdoor activities and agricultural activities during the forecast period.
